That’s right, a Twisted Trendsetter. That’s because today, the latest sketch is up and active at Twisted Sketches and my reveal article for ACOT featuring “Trendsetter” by Webster’s Pages was published. Nothing like killing two birds with one stone.
Now this line was super easy and uber fun to work with. I tried a couple new techniques, well, they are new to me. I busted out the sewing machine and used it for the first time since 8th grade and I tried my hand at some major fussy cutting.
This first page was done for this week’s sketch. I love how the patterns and colors of this line work so easily together. These pages came together really easily. This page is also the first one I used my sewing machine on! It’s a milestone for me because I HATE sewing but it’s the perfect small touch for these papers.
The next page is one of my favorites. Would you believe I took that photo with my phone? I tried my hand at some major fussy cutting with the cars and the flowers. I added some washi tape by Hambly to give some dimension to the car. The car is also layered.
The next two pages are just simple pages. Nothing truly spectacular about them.
Now, I never realized how much paper you go through when you use fussy cutting as technique. But because these paper were just to pretty to waste, I put some of the scraps to use and made this card. This is also the first time I made a “shaped” card.
Thanks for taking a look at my latest work! Head over to ACOT and pick up “Trendsetter” and strut yo’ stuff on paper. And if you’re needing a boost in mojo, come on over to Twisted Sketches!
