May Arts Christmas Card Hop!

It’s that time of year again!   Christmas trees and lights go up and cards go out.  But if you are anything like me, your cards will arrive on December 27th because you couldn’t come up with a great card idea and ended up buying a box of cards that you mailed out on December 21st.

Have no fear!  We have just the hop for you.  The ribbonistas got together and we all made cards to show you, hoping to inspire your inner cardmaker.  Here’s the line up.

Christina Colón (You are here!)
Charlene Driggs
Courtney Lee
DeeDee Catron
Emily Lanham
Gini Williams Cagle
Jen Shears
Jenifer Cowles
Karen Baker
Lalo IK
Shellye McDaniel
Virginia Fynes
Latrice Murphy

Now for the goods!  Here’s my card using DCWV’s “Jolly Whimsy” stack. I used UmWowStudio Sketch for December as inspiration for my card.

Why yes!  This is a scrapbook sketch.  Scale it down and you can use it for a card as well.

I also received a nifty new tool by Zutter, the Bow-It-All.  I love it!  I’ve always been bow-challenged and this tool really helped me out.  I simply used some Wrinkled Ribbon and my Bow-It-All and made the perfect triple loop bow.

Thanks for letting me inspire you!  Be sure to head on to Charlene’s blog next.

Jingle all the way!

Supplies:
May Arts Ribbon (EA-01)
DCWV “Jolly Whimsy” stack
Heidi Swapp Color Shine
Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares

I love the gold snowflakes against the red background. Great change from a layout to a card. I, too, am bow-making challenged. I'll have to look for this bow maker. Maybe I'll finally get some decent bows. thanks for sharing.

DELIGHTFUL card Christina – LOVE your splatters, shimmery gold, pretty papers and PERFECT bow!!!
… WOW – your new tool must be AWESOME – how WONDERFUL that it can be used to make "card-sized" bows – I thought all the ones out there were huge => this bow-challenged crafter will be looking out for one now 🙂

THANK YOU for sharing your crafty Christmas inspiration!!!
