Post Slump Fun Using Glitz Design, May Arts, and Gauche Alchemy

If you’ve been a follower for some time, you’ve noticed that I have been posting more sporadically and the projects haven’t been all that and the bag chips is long since stale.

I’m a lover of mini albums so I made this one from the ground up using some chipboard, acrylic, and ouchless cardboard from Gauche Alchemy.  I decided to play with Glitz Design‘s “Finnley” collection and because I love mixing lines, I threw in some “Wild and Free” and “Cashmere Dame” as well.   Of course, no mini album of mine is complete without May Arts ribbon.

After I finished my Dreamcatcher wreath, I felt rejuvenated and revived.  The project ideas started flowing in and I started gettin’ busy!

Let’s start with this new mini album I put together documenting mine and the kids’ trip to Peace Prayer Memorial Park.  This is a very somber place as it is in honor of those who died during the Battle of Okinawa during World War II.  I wanted the album to still be light but not whimsical.

The park is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful.  There is an air of heaviness but it’s not of a negative kind.  It causes reflection.

The park calls for everyone to pray for peace because war comes at such an extreme cost.

They say you can hear the cries on the wind as it sweeps over the cliffs.

It causes all of us to step back and to remember:

Thanks for taking a look!
