Who Needs Sunshine Anyway (sketch #057)

Another rendering of yet another sketch over at TwistedSketches.com. I just LOVE this site! So many great and EASY ideas with a twist!

This is sketch #057 with the twist being “sunshine” anyhow, any way.

It was so beautiful where we live so I thought a day at the beach would be a great idea! Of course, when we got to the coast, it was 20 degrees cooler, CLOUDY and COLD! Not that the kids cared!

I used Sassafras Lass’s “Nerdy Bird” and DCWV purple cardstock. The lettering is American Crafts Thickers “chit chat” in tangerine and Sass Lass “Nerdy Bird”. The clouds are made from Little Yellow Bicycle’s “Clear Cuts” journaling cards. These ones came from “Quote Bubbles”. I stained them with Ranger’s alcohol ink in “stream” then used turquoise stickles around the edges. I drew and cut out the sun. The edges and cheeks are chalked using ColorBox Cat’s Eyes “Primary” and the face is highlighted with turquoise, fruit punch, and gun metal Stickles.
